Fingrid’s Kristinestad–Nokia page is 2026 general design, not reserved west-coast hall power

Fingrid’s Kristinestad–Nokia project page writes field work from late 2024 through summer 2026 and general design finishing in 2026, with construction 2026–2029. A design year is not reserved offtake.

Fingrid’s Kristinestad–Nokia project page is the dated design source used here. It writes a new 400+110 kV connection of about 180 kilometres between new substations at Åback in Kristinestad and at Nokia. The municipalities listed are Kristinestad, Karijoki, Isojoki, Kankaanpää, Karvia, Parkano, Ikaalinen, Ylöjärvi, Hämeenkyrö and Nokia. Between Kristinestad and Isojoki the page writes two parallel 400+110 kV connections. A 180-kilometre design page is not reserved hall offtake.

The process sentence must stay a process sentence. Route stretches for further design were chosen in August 2024. The statutory EIA programme is written as October 2022, the EIA report as July 2023, a supplement in spring 2024 and the coordinating authority’s reasoned conclusion in June 2024. Those are EIA facts. They are not a construction decision on every stretch and not a reserved megawatt.

The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. Field work for general design is written as starting in late 2024 and ending in summer 2026, with general design finishing in 2026. Construction is written as 2026–2029 depending on the stretch. General design is split into Åback–Honkajoki and Honkajoki–Nokia, with TLT-Building Oy named for that work. A 2026 design finish is not a live west-coast hall.
