Fingrid’s November Järvilinja note is a finished Vuolijoki–Lapinlahti stretch, not reserved eastern-Finland hall power

On 20 November 2025 Fingrid said the new 110 kV line from Vuolijoki in Kajaani to Lapinlahti, 95 kilometres, had been finished in September as part of the Järvilinja reinforcement. A finished stretch is not a named industrial reservation.

Fingrid’s 20 November 2025 Järvilinja notice is the dated stretch source used here. It says the eastern Finnish main grid received a significant reinforcement in North Savo when the new line from Vuolijoki in Kajaani to Lapinlahti was finished in September. A finished stretch is not reserved offtake.

The package sentence must stay a package sentence. The dated notice writes a 400 + 100 kV connection between Vaala and Joroinen, 291 kilometres, running through twelve municipalities. Besides the line, the package includes a new station and series-capacitor station at Alapitkä in Lapinlahti and expansion works at five other stations. The whole project is written as finishing in autumn 2026. Those are package facts. They are not a named hall agreement.

The purpose sentence must stay a purpose sentence. The notice says the finished project will improve the connectability of investments planned in the area and will help connect wind-power and electricity-intensive projects more efficiently. That is enabling language. It does not name a hall tenant and does not print a reserved megawatt.

Related grid notes stay on their own pages. Fingrid’s Helsinki 400 kV cable, the Fenno-Skan 3 planning note, the Verkkokiikari map update and the 1 June connection-application expansion are different dates and different instruments. This article does not import a capital-region cable or a signed Finnish agreement total into a Vuolijoki–Lapinlahti stretch day.

DataCenterSweden records 20 November 2025 as a Fingrid Järvilinja stretch-completion notice. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names the autumn 2026 whole-project finish, a reserved industrial offtake beside the twelve municipalities, or a commissioned hall that this notice does not print. Until then, the 95 kilometres stay a finished stretch — not reserved eastern-Finland hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 291-kilometre eastern-Finland reinforcement headline is easy to file as spare industrial hall power. The November note is usable only if the finished stretch stays a finished stretch — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The notice does not close the autumn 2026 whole project, name a reserved industrial offtake or identify a hall tenant beside Järvilinja.
