Ellevio’s July Repbäcken–Alvik paper is a complementary station-site consult, not reserved Falun hall power

Ellevio’s June 2025 complementary paper, with comments due 18 July, writes a new about-25-kilometre 145 kV line from Repbäcken to a relocated Alvik station outside Grycksbo. A complementary consult is not reserved offtake.

Ellevio’s June 2025 complementary consult paper is the dated station-site source used here. It writes a new 145 kV overhead line from the existing Repbäcken station in Borlänge Municipality to a new planned station in Falun Municipality. The line is written as running mainly through forest, about 25 kilometres, from north-west of Borlänge north to a new Alvik station outside Grycksbo, north-west of Falun. A 25-kilometre regional line is not reserved hall offtake.

The demand sentence must stay a demand sentence. The paper writes a need to strengthen the regional grid between Borlänge and Falun so as to meet increased demand in Falun, Rättvik and Mora from new housing, industrial establishments and charging infrastructure. That is printed enablement language. It does not name a hall or print a reserved megawatt.

The complementary sentence must stay a complementary sentence. A combined scoping and screening consult is written as July–September 2024, when the exact Alvik station site was not yet fixed. After that consult Ellevio writes a better site about 1.5 kilometres west of the earlier planned station location, so that the line would turn north-west from the corridor already taken forward. The complementary consult covers two corridor alternatives to that new station area. Comments are written as due by 18 July 2025. The station project is written as sitting outside the line-concession application and as being examined in separate processes. A relocated station site is not a construction start.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a concession filing, a chosen Alvik site as permitted, or a reserved consumption agreement with a printed megawatt. Until then, the July paper stays a station-site consult — not reserved Falun hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 25-kilometre Borlänge–Falun headline is easy to file as spare Dalarna hall power. The July paper is usable only if the relocated Alvik site stays a complementary consult — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The paper does not file a concession, permit the relocated Alvik site or give a reserved hall megawatt beside Repbäcken–Alvik.
