Ellevio’s Laforsen–Enån paper is a short hydropower station-tie consultation, not the 400 kV Enån corridor and not reserved hall power

Ellevio’s November 2024 consultation paper, with comments due 4 December 2024, describes two new 145 kV overhead lines of just over 1.5 kilometres between existing Laforsen and a new Ellevio Enån station. A hydropower station-tie paper is not reserved hall offtake.

Ellevio’s November 2024 Laforsen–Enån consultation paper is the dated station-tie source used here. It says Ellevio intends to apply for a line concession for two new 145 kV overhead lines between the existing Laforsen station and a new Ellevio station at Enån in Ljusdal Municipality, Gävleborg County. Comments were due 4 December 2024. A consultation paper is not a granted concession.

The purpose sentence must stay a purpose sentence. The purpose is written as establishing the two 145 kV lines so that electricity from the Laforsen hydropower station can be transferred out to the grid. The total line length between the existing station and Ellevio’s new station is written as just over 1.5 kilometres. The studied alternatives A–D are written as 1,500–1,900 metres, all starting with a span over the Ljusnan. Those are hydropower station-tie facts. They are not a reserved hall megawatt.

The neighbour-station sentence must stay a neighbour-station sentence. A few kilometres from the Laforsen power plant, Svenska kraftnät and Ellevio are written as planning one new station each, next to each other. Svenska kraftnät’s 400 kV station is written as connecting to the existing 400 kV CL7 line between Tovåsen and Morgårdshammar. Svenska kraftnät’s 220 kV RL7 lines into Laforsen are written as being retired. Svenska kraftnät’s station permitting is written as a separate case and as not part of this consultation. Ellevio’s project is written as an adaptation to Svenska kraftnät’s NordSyd programme. A separate 400 kV station case is not this 145 kV paper.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a filed concession, started construction of the 1.5 kilometres, or a reserved consumption agreement beside Laforsen. Until then, the two 145 kV lines stay a hydropower station-tie consultation — not the 400 kV Enån corridor and not reserved hall capacity.

Why it matters

A new Enån station headline is easy to file as the 400 kV inland corridor or as spare hall power. The November paper is usable only if the 1.5-kilometre hydropower tie stays a hydropower tie — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The paper does not file the concession, start the 1.5 kilometres or name a reserved hall offtake beside Laforsen–Enån.
