Ellevio’s Kinstaåsen complementary consult is an alignment add-on, not reserved Hälsingland hall power

Ellevio’s May 2026 complementary paper, with comments due 18 June, adds an easterly Kinstaåsen alignment on the already-filed 130 kV Njutånger–Söderala line so the route can avoid the Kinstaby waterworks. A complementary consult is not reserved offtake.

Ellevio’s May 2026 complementary consultation paper, listed on the current-consultations page with a last reply date of 18 June 2026, is the dated Kinstaåsen source used here. It belongs to an already-filed line concession between Svenska kraftnät’s planned Njutånger station in Hudiksvall Municipality and the existing Söderala station in Söderhamn Municipality. A complementary consult is not reserved offtake.

The alignment sentence must stay an alignment sentence. The filed line is written as a new 130 kV circuit (construction voltage 145 kV), about 40 kilometres long, inside Ellevio’s eastern Hälsingland reinforcement and next to Svenska kraftnät’s NordSyd rebuild. After the Energy Markets Inspectorate remittal in February–March, Ellevio adds an easterly claim at Söderala that avoids the Kinstaby waterworks and shortens the stretch inside the water-protection area. The inspectorate case number printed in the paper is 2025-103562. Those are process facts. They are not reserved megawatts.

The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. Construction of the line is printed as planned in 2028–2030. During the continued examination the inspectorate will decide whether Ellevio receives concession and for which Söderala alternative. A 2028–2030 construction window is not a live circuit.

Why it matters

A 40-kilometre Hälsingland 130 kV headline next to NordSyd is easy to file as spare hall power. The June complementary paper is usable only if the add-on alignment stays an add-on — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The paper does not choose the Söderala alternative, grant the concession or name a reserved consumption agreement beside Njutånger–Söderala.
