Ellevio’s Kil–Kristinehamn rebuild is a quadrupled 56 km circuit, not reserved Värmland hall power

Ellevio’s Kil–Kristinehamn project page says the 56-kilometre overhead line is being rebuilt from January 2026, with capacity quadrupled and completion printed as December 2028. A rebuild is not reserved offtake beside Olingan and Gräsmark.
Ellevio’s Kil–Kristinehamn project page is the dated rebuild source used here. It says electricity use and production in Värmland are expected to rise sharply, and that Ellevio is now raising the capacity of the regional-network line between Kil and Kristinehamn. The printed start is January 2026 and the printed finish is December 2028. A start month is not reserved offtake.
The rebuild sentence must stay a rebuild sentence. The 56-kilometre overhead line is being rebuilt and capacity is quadrupled. The alignment is to follow the previous corridor, still on wooden portal poles. Some poles may move for a longer distance to houses, or stand closer together because of the larger conductor. The corridor is to be further tree-secured by a greater width. Those are rebuild facts. They are not reserved megawatts. The page does not print a hall megawatt.
The works sentence must stay a works sentence. Noise and heavy traffic are written as occurring next to the construction. Planned outages will occur and are to be notified in good time by SMS or letter. Ellevio’s contractor on the project is Craftor. A named contractor is not a campus agreement.
Related grid notes stay on their own pages. Svenska kraftnät’s Olingan and Gräsmark commissioning note, the Karlstadbenet / Malsjö row and Ellevio’s northern production-cluster snapshot are different dates and different legal rows. This article does not import a Värmland production-queue row or a hall name into a Kil–Kristinehamn rebuild day.
DataCenterSweden records January 2026 as Ellevio’s printed construction start for Kil–Kristinehamn. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a completed December 2028 circuit, a measured quadrupled rating or a reserved consumption agreement beside the corridor. Until then, the quadrupled 56 kilometres stay a rebuild — not reserved Värmland hall capacity.
Why it matters
A quadrupled Värmland regional-network headline is easy to file as spare hall power. The January page is usable only if the rebuild stays a rebuild — not a reservation.
What remains unknown
The page does not print a completed December 2028 circuit, a measured rating or a reserved consumption agreement beside Kil–Kristinehamn.
