Ellevio’s Gävleborg snapshot is a regional-network queue picture, not a Microsoft or Horndal cell

Ellevio’s Gävleborg regional-network page, with a connection-case snapshot last updated on 19 August 2026, publishes indications and formal applications together with aggregated requested power. Larger connections must still be assessed one by one against the regional network and Svenska kraftnät. That table is not a data-center row and not spare power for Gävle, Sandviken or Horndal.
Ellevio’s Gävleborg capacity page is the dated regional-network source used here. The connection-case table is a snapshot last updated on 19 August 2026. The page itself is marked updated on 28 August 2026. The snapshot mixes indications and formal applications and says it shows how many cases are active, where they sit in the process, and the aggregated requested power in the area for injection and withdrawal. This note does not copy any megawatt cell that was not read as a stable published figure. A snapshot is not a reservation.
The process page sitting beside the snapshot matters. Connecting a larger facility to Ellevio’s regional network starts with a free indication, then a formal application and a maturity assessment before a paid network study and a preliminary notice. An indication answer is a picture of conditions at the time of the assessment. Conditions can change when other cases, demand or the overlying network change. Maturity is reviewed before each step, or at least once a year.
Geography on the Gävleborg page is regional, not a hall pin. Ellevio is a regional-network customer of Svenska kraftnät, so capacity also depends on the transmission network. The page lists NordSyd-related transmission work: Grönviken–Fallviken in 2030, Vattjom–Njutånger and Njutånger–Mehedeby in 2033, and the inland 400 kV package Kilforsen–Fallviken in 2033–2034. Ellevio’s own eastern Hälsingland 130 kV and station works are dated 2026–2031. Those are grid-build sentences. They are not a Microsoft or Google connection agreement.
Named Swedish rows stay on their own papers. Microsoft’s Gävle and Sandviken halls, Google Horndal and Svenska kraftnät’s county and bidding-area tables are different issuers and metrics. Gävleborg’s 2,450 MW of requested consumption on the 2 September 2026 transmission county page is a rounded Svenska kraftnät cell. It is not Ellevio’s snapshot and not a hall list.
DataCenterSweden records 19 August 2026 as a Gävleborg regional-network queue snapshot. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later Ellevio snapshot that names a data-center split or a property-level paper. Until then, the table stays mixed indications and applications — not reserved import for a named hall.
Why it matters
A regional-network table next to named Swedish halls is the easiest DSO picture to paste as spare municipal power. The August snapshot is usable only if indications stay mixed with applications — and if no hall name is written into a cell Ellevio left untyped.
What remains unknown
The snapshot does not publish a data-center row, does not name an applicant, and does not reserve or allocate import for a hall in this register.
