Ellevio’s 11 December 2025 Ålkistan–Fisksjöäng paper is a cable in operation, not hall spare power

On 11 December 2025 Ellevio said its new regional-network link between Ålkistan and Fisksjöäng had been taken into operation, removing a bottleneck through the National City Park. Overhead line has been replaced by underground cables with higher capacity. A commissioned cable is not a Conapto or Bahnhof spare-power cell.

Ellevio’s 11 December 2025 notice is the dated Stockholm-grid source used here. It says the new link between Ålkistan and Fisksjöäng is now being taken into operation. The previous overhead line has been replaced by underground cables with considerably higher capacity. Taken into operation is a past-tense grid sentence. It is not a hall commissioning.

The programme sentence stays a programme sentence. The reinforced regional-network line is described as a central part of Stockholms ström, Ellevio’s investment programme to modernise and expand the Stockholm grid. The notice says the earlier bottleneck had been a brake on housing, business establishments and electrification. Those are urban-development consequences named by the DSO. They are not a reserved megawatt for a named data center.

Demolition work remains open into 2026. Eleven poles on the replaced stretch remain to be taken down. That work began in December and is to continue some way into 2026. Pole demolition is not spare IT import.

Named Stockholm rows stay on their own papers. Conapto’s Stockholm 4 and Stockholm 5 capacity papers, Bahnhof’s bunker rows and Svenska kraftnät’s Stockholm network-development plan stay on their own dates. A National City Park cable does not become those files.

The next update would need a later Ellevio paper that names a data-center allocation on the reinforced path. Until then, the link stays a removed bottleneck — not hall spare power.

Why it matters

A removed Stockholm bottleneck is easy to paste as spare inner-city hall power. The December notice is usable only if the cable stays a Stockholms ström link — not a Conapto or Bahnhof allocation.

What remains unknown

The notice does not publish a megawatt rating for the new cables, a named data-center customer, or an allocation on the reinforced path.
