Ellevio’s Akalla indoor station is site preparation, not a commissioned 100 MW hall

Ellevio’s Akalla project page says preparatory works for an indoor distribution station at Raseborgsgatan in Kista started in early 2026, with the station in service late 2027 and finishing works in autumn 2028. A station timetable is not a live hall.

Ellevio’s Akalla project page is the dated station source used here. It says construction of a data centre and several server halls is under way in the Akalla industrial area, that surplus heat is to be recovered into the district-heating network, and that Ellevio is building a new distribution station for the halls’ electricity supply. The start date is printed as January 2026. Preparatory works — felling and ground preparation — started at the beginning of 2026. The station is to be in service at the end of 2027, with finishing works in autumn 2028. A station start is not a commissioned hall.

The place-and-contractor sentence must stay a place-and-contractor sentence. The station is to stand at Raseborgsgatan in Kista. The contractor named is Craftor. The page warns of noise, heavier traffic, reduced access at times and blasting. Those are works facts. They are not a reserved megawatt printed as offtake.

The year-end sentence must stay a year-end sentence. Ellevio’s 2025 annual report, published 19 February 2026, says the company signed connection agreements in the first half of 2025 for two new data centres in Akalla with capacity of up to 100 MW, and that commissioning is planned for the winter of 2027/2028. “Up to 100 MW” is an agreement-scope sentence. It is not a live load and not a named tenant on the project page.

The next update would need a later primary source that names an energised station, a commissioned hall or a reserved offtake above the printed agreement scope. Until then, late 2027 stays a station date — not a live 100 MW campus.

Why it matters

An Akalla station headline that sits next to a 100 MW agreement sentence is easy to file as a live campus. The January page is usable only if the indoor station stays a station — not a commissioned hall.

What remains unknown

The project page does not name the hall operator, commission the late-2027 station or measure a live 100 MW load.
