Ei’s Örby–Högdalen remittal is a 220 kV underground filing, not reserved Stockholm hall power

On 20 March 2026 the Energy Markets Inspectorate opened remittal of case 2025-104625, Ellevio’s 220 kV line between the Örby splice and Högdalen, with comments due 24 April. A remittal is not reserved Stockholm offtake.

It says Ellevio AB has applied for a line concession for a 220 kV circuit (construction voltage 245 kV) between the Örby splice and Högdalen station in the City of Stockholm. The last day for comments is 24 April 2026. A remittal is not reserved offtake.

The rebuild sentence must stay a rebuild sentence. Ellevio’s project page says the existing 220 kV overhead line between Högdalen and Örby is to be replaced by an underground circuit about 3.5 kilometres long. The concession application was sent to the inspectorate on 19 December 2025. Written consultation under chapter 6 of the Environmental Code ran in February and March. Those are process facts. They are not reserved megawatts.

The street sentence must stay a street sentence. In Ellevio’s preferred alternative the trench sits mainly in the Örbyleden carriageway, with shorter stretches near cycle paths south of Stallarholmsvägen and north of Skönsmovägen. The northernmost part is likely to stay inside Ellevio’s station area. Open-trench times are written as relatively short because ducts are laid and the ground is backfilled. A preferred trench is not a commissioned cable.

Why it matters

A southern-Stockholm 220 kV underground headline is easy to file as spare hall power. The March remittal is usable only if the filing stays a filing — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The remittal does not grant the concession, start construction or name a reserved consumption agreement beside Örby–Högdalen.
