EdgeMode’s 29 May 2025 paper is a Marviken land-and-lease close, not 300 MW live

On 29 May 2025 EdgeMode said it had closed the acquisition of Synthesis Analytics Production on 7 April 2025, with a 95 MW power-purchase agreement, a long-term hall lease, about 20,000 square metres of adjacent freehold and immersion-cooling intellectual property. A SEC lease on the same campus names four dark fibres and Baltic cooling-water access. Closed is not energised, and 20, 75, 95 and 300 stay on separate lines.

EdgeMode’s 29 May 2025 GlobeNewswire notice is the dated land-and-lease source used here. It says the acquisition of Synthesis Analytics Production Ltd closed on 7 April 2025 and that SAPL has been rebranded as EdgeMode Europe. Swedish assets named on that paper are a secured 95-megawatt power-purchase agreement, a long-term lease on an initial data-centre facility, and freehold ownership of about 20,000 square metres of adjacent land designated for future expansion. The same notice includes intellectual property and proprietary technologies related to immersion cooling and heat-exchange systems. Intellectual property is not a commissioned cooling plant.

Construction and expansion sentences must stay split. Construction of a 20-megawatt high-performance computing facility at Marviken is underway, with initial power delivery expected this quarter. The second phase, supporting an additional 75 megawatts, is in advanced planning. The site is designed for scalable expansion, with potential to exceed 300 megawatts within five years. Expected this quarter, advanced planning and potential to exceed are the issuer’s words. This article does not add 20, 75 and 300.

The SEC hall lease, dated 27 December 2024 and commencing 1 January 2025, is the campus-interconnect companion. Marviken ONE AB leases 1,074 square metres of data centre and 28 square metres of office to Synthesis Analytics Production Limited through 31 December 2034. The data centre is served with power access, four dark fibres of internet access and cooling-water infrastructure. Cooling water is access of up to 2 cubic metres per second from the Baltic Sea; the user must construct the connectivity at its own expense. Four dark fibres and a cooling-water access point are lease sentences. They are not a commissioned optical ring and not a live cooling plant.

The separate grid-access exhibit must keep its own ratings. The 27 December 2024 power-purchase and grid-access lease rents up to 20 MW of grid-access capacity at 10 kV in Norrköping, with Vattenfall named as the regional-network operator for tariff adjustment. A 20 February 2025 addendum expands the full capacity to a maximum of 95 MW, with the timeline for the expanded capacity following Vattenfall. Maximum 95 MW on the addendum is the same object as the notice’s secured 95 MW agreement. It is not the 20 MW hall under construction and not the potential 300 MW sentence.

DataCenterSweden records 29 May 2025 as a Marviken acquisition-and-lease close. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names an energization, a measured load or a commissioned cooling plant. Until then, 20 MW, 75 MW, 95 MW and potential 300 MW stay on their own lines — not a live campus total.

Why it matters

A 95 MW PPA next to 20,000 square metres and four dark fibres is easy to file as a live Norrköping campus. The May close is usable only if 20, 75, 95 and 300 stay unadded.

What remains unknown

The papers do not publish an energization date, a measured IT load or a commissioned immersion-cooling plant.
