EcoDataCenter’s CapMan sale is a three-hall carve-out, not a closed Kolo transfer

On 28 April 2025 EcoDataCenter said it was completing a sale of three data centres — two in Stockholm and one in Piteå — to CapMan Infra’s platform, soon to be called Kolo DC, with closing expected in the second quarter of 2025. An announced sale is not a completed transfer.

EcoDataCenter’s 28 April 2025 notice is the dated carve-out source used here. It says the company is completing a strategic sale of three data centres to CapMan Infra’s data-centre platform: two facilities in Stockholm and one in Piteå. The halls, acquired by EcoDataCenter in 2019 and 2020, had been earmarked for divestment after a strategic review so the company could focus on larger campus projects. An announced sale is not a closed share or asset transfer.

The closing sentence must stay a closing sentence. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. CapMan’s own 28 April 2025 notice repeats the three Swedish sites and says completion is expected in the same quarter. Conditions remaining are conditions. They are not proof that title has passed.

The platform sentence must stay a platform sentence. CapMan Infra’s growing platform is said to be launched soon under the name Kolo DC. CapMan describes the three halls as a first Swedish step for a platform that already operates in the Netherlands and Denmark, with Tier 3-equivalent redundancy, solar panels and connections to district-heating networks for heat reuse. Those are buyer-description rows. They are not new heat contracts signed on this date and not a megawatt table.

Named neighbouring papers stay on their own files. EcoDataCenter’s chief executive says the deal also means the company can accelerate mega-campus projects in Falun and Borlänge. Falun hall papers, the Borlänge groundbreaking and other EcoDataCenter campus notes stay on their own dockets. This carve-out does not restate those campuses’ capacity or construction stage.

DataCenterSweden records 28 April 2025 as an EcoDataCenter agreement to sell two Stockholm halls and one Piteå hall to CapMan Infra. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a closed transfer, a Kolo operating result or a new capacity definition. Until then, the three halls stay an announced carve-out — not a completed Kolo closing.

Why it matters

A three-hall Nordic platform sale is easy to file as a closed Swedish transfer. The April notices are usable only if Q2 closing conditions stay conditions.

What remains unknown

The notices do not print a closed-transfer date, a purchase price, a megawatt table or a post-closing operating result for the three halls.
