Stockholm Exergi describes a 2021 Conapto heat contract; household counts are not measured megawatt-hours

Stockholm Exergi’s Open District Heating page, accessed on 12 September 2026, says the first Open District Heating agreement with Conapto was signed in 2021, that heat pumps raise rejected heat from about 30 °C to 70 °C, and that the first facility was enough to heat about 2,500 homes a year. A later Sätra hall, inaugurated in August 2024, has a contract to recover up to 10 MW of heat. Those are utility-described contract and capacity sentences. They are not a public metered ledger.

Stockholm Exergi’s Open District Heating page is the utility source used here. It says Conapto sought a way to handle surplus heat and found a solution through Exergi’s network. In 2021 the first Open District Heating agreement between Stockholm Exergi and Conapto was signed. Conapto then connected a data center to the network and installed heat pumps that raise residual heat from about 30 °C to 70 °C. Recovered heat is distributed into the district-heating network. The first facility was sufficient to heat about 2,500 homes annually. Those sentences come from the heat buyer, not from a land brochure.

Household equivalents and temperatures are still bounded. “About 2,500 homes annually” is a utility illustration attached to the first facility. It is not a published megawatt-hour series, not a named year of meter readings, and not a Stockholm city total. The 30-to-70 °C lift is a design temperature pair for the heat pumps. It is not proof that every Conapto hall delivers at that temperature every hour.

The Sätra expansion is a second instrument. Exergi says Conapto has also signed an agreement for heat recovery from its new hall in Sätra, inaugurated in August 2024, and that recovery from that facility will be among the largest of its kind, with capacity to recover up to 10 MW, corresponding to heating 10,000 homes. Up to 10 MW is a heat-recovery capacity sentence. It is not IT load, not the 2024 south-campus 24 MW power sentence, and not a measured 2024 or 2025 delivery. Sätra is the geography Exergi uses for the hall that this register already records as Stockholm 4 South.

Prepared, contracted and delivered remain different words. The 2021 signature is a contract date for the first facility. Connection and heat-pump installation are described as having happened. The household figure is a capability illustration. The Sätra sentence is a later contract plus a capacity. None of those sentences is a public invoice extract. The existing Stockholm Data Parks invitation page remains a fourth artefact: an invitation architecture, not this utility case note.

Do not merge other Swedish heat rows into Exergi. GleSYS’s 1 October 2020 Falkenberg delivery start, Falu Energi & Vatten’s EcoDC pellet sentence, Horndal’s readiness wording and Sollefteå’s possible residual-heat sentence are other municipalities. CoreWeave’s June 2026 occupancy notice repeats heat recovery as a sustainability credential; it does not add a CoreWeave-specific measured volume.

For a buyer the next documents are the current heat-sale contract, the metered period, the hall identity, and whether the 10 MW Sätra capacity has entered service. If a slide adds 2,500 and 10,000 homes, ask which year and which meter. If a slide adds 10 MW of heat to 24 MW of campus power, the slide has mixed two boundaries.

DataCenterSweden records the Exergi page as a municipal-utility heat-deal note against the Conapto south-campus project. It does not invent a Stockholm megawatt-hour total and does not treat household counts as a register metric.

Why it matters

A named municipal heat buyer describing a 2021 contract is the strongest Stockholm heat-deal paper in this wave. It stays honest only if household counts and “up to 10 MW” remain illustrations and capacities, not a city ledger.

What remains unknown

The Exergi page does not publish a metered megawatt-hour series, the legal-entity names on the 2021 contract, or evidence that the Sätra 10 MW heat-recovery capacity is fully in service.
