atNorth buys Haugaland land for NOR01; 120 MW and 350 MW are planned phases, not 2026 power

On 3 June 2026 atNorth said it had acquired land for NOR01 in Haugaland Business Park. Initial phases will deliver 120 MW, with a ramp-up to 350 MW. Power availability is projected for 2028, supported by substations from Statnett and Fagne. A land purchase is not energization, and Haugaland is not SWE04 or Stargate Norway.

atNorth’s 3 June 2026 notice is the dated land-deal source used here. It announces expansion into Norway with the acquisition of land for a mega site in Haugaland. The 36-hectare plot inside Haugaland Business Park is the location for the planned NOR01 data center. Those are role and geography sentences. They are not a Norwegian connection agreement and not a Swedish land option.

Capacity wording is layered and must not be added. Initial phases will deliver 120 MW, with a ramp-up to 350 MW. The operator’s NOR01 page repeats those two figures and describes the site as prepared for direct liquid cooling and excess-heat recovery to a local district or municipal network. One hundred and twenty and three hundred and fifty are different objects. Summing them invents a campus the notice does not calculate. Neither figure is occupied IT load.

Power availability for the site is projected for 2028. That is to be supported by two substations, one developed by Statnett and one by Fagne, the regional grid provider. Projected is not a reservation and not an allocation. The company says it is actively exploring heat-reuse opportunities with local stakeholders inside the business park. Exploring is not a named municipal offtaker.

Identity control matters because later and earlier Nordic names sit nearby. The 2 September 2026 platform list that names Haugaland without a megawatt stays a naming pass. SWE04’s Sollefteå papers stay on their own row. Stargate Norway at Kvandal, stored from July 2025, is a different issuer in a different municipality. Sharing a country does not make the files one project. The April 2026 Svartisen reservation hold is a third Norwegian artefact and does not name NOR01.

DataCenterSweden records 3 June 2026 as a Norwegian land-acquisition notice. No Swedish project identifier is attached. The 120 MW and 350 MW sentences are not written into any Swedish cell. The next update would need a later primary source that names a closed grid paper, a construction start or an energization — not another Nordic platform list.

Why it matters

A 350 MW Norwegian headline is easy to relocate onto a Swedish map. The June notice is usable only if 120 and 350 stay unadded, 2028 stays projected, and Haugaland stays Norwegian.

What remains unknown

The notice does not publish a signed Statnett or Fagne agreement, a construction start, an occupied-load reading or a named heat buyer.
